SKELETOR

ALL ABOUT PAPER, MAKE A SCULPTURE PIECE FROM PAPER, THAT WAS THE BRIEFING. IT BEING THE FIRST PROJECT STARTING AT HKU, EXPERIMENT WAS A MUST. EXPERIMENTING WITH DIFFERENT KINDS OFF PAPER, COLORS, SHAPES AND CONNECTIONS.

AFTER EXPERMENTING FOR A WHILE CERTAIN IDEAS CAME TOGETHER. ONE OF THE IDEAS WAS TO USE PAPERBAG BOOK PAPER HAD THE BEST THICKNESS AND STABILLITY. ANOTHER IDEA WAS TO MAKE KIND OF LIKE A FUTURISTIC SPACESHIP OVER SHIELD/ARMOR AND TO MAKE IT 3D, WITH MULTIBLE LEVELS AND IT HAD TO LOOK LIKE IT WAS FLOATING ON THE MODEL.

BY COMBINING SEVERAL PAGES TOGETHER AND GIVING THEM CUTS EVERY CENTIMETER, YOU GET THIS SPIRAL SHAPE. AND BY GIVING IT SOME ROOM TO BEND THIS SHAPE REALLY BECOMES A 3D OBJECT LOOKING LIKE A PIECE OF ARMOR.

THE TRIANGLE WING SHAPE IS BUILD UP FROM DIFFERENT SMALLER TRIANGLES ALL IN DIFFERENT HEIGHTS TO CREATED A LAYER FEEL AND ALSO TO MAKE THE 3D ASPECT MORE OBVIOUS.

WHEN ALL THE DIFFERENT PIECES WERE DONE IT WAS TIME TO PUT THEM ALL TOGETHER. USING THE HUMAN SKELETON AS A FOCUS POINT THE JOB TO DO WAS PLACING ALL THE SMALL PIECES ON THE BEST AREA’S OF THE BODY WERE THESE WOULD WORK AS AN ARMOR.

AFTER PLACING ALL THE PIECES THE LAST JOB WAS TO CONNECTED AL THE PIECES TOGETHER SO IT WOULD BECOME ONE SOLID PIECE. WHEN WORN ON BY A HUMAN YOU WILL SEE THAT IT WORKS LIKE AN ARMOR BUT IT COULD ALSO BE A PART OF THE BODY LIKE IT HAD GROWN OUT OF THE BODY. ITS FREE FOR INTERPERTATION.
